Whitesnake

    

WHITESNAKE was named for a white albino ball python snake that was owned by David Coverdale while he was in in DEEP PURPLE.

The band spells the name as one word, but David Coverdale released a solo album titled White Snake prior to forming the band.

Whitesnake was #85 in VH1's list of the greatest hard rock bands of all time.

Wings

       

WINGS was Paul McCartney's band after he left The Beatles. In Paul's Beatles song "Blackbird" you'll hear the line "Take these broken wings and learn to fly" which is what Paul did in his next album - a solo effort called McCartney.

When Linda McCartney was giving birth to their daughter Stella, Paul says he was pacing around hoping everything was going well and he was praying and started thinking of angels and wings. Wings just stuck in his mind later.
